Paolian Sweets & More, a bakery based in the Treasure Valley specializing in luxury buttercream cakes and desserts for special occasions, engaged in a complete rebranding and promotional material design project. The owner, Paola Franco, recognized the need to differentiate her business from competitors to capture a significant share of the local market, particularly with a wedding expo on the horizon.

The bakery industry, especially in the niche of luxury desserts, is highly competitive. Paola needed a brand that not only stood out visually but also resonated with her target audience’s desire for elegance, fun, and luxury. Brand Strategy Development: I began by sending Paola a detailed branding questionnaire to understand her business’s mission, vision, values, and ideal audience. Her responses helped shape a comprehensive 17-page brand guide that included a mood board, color and font choices, brand story, and more, establishing a strong foundation for all visual and marketing efforts.
Logo and Brand Guide: Drawing from keywords such as luxurious, elegant, and delightful, I designed a logo that features soft pastel pink and sage green, accented with watercolor roses to convey a fun yet sophisticated look. The brand guide ensured consistency across all applications, reinforcing the brand’s identity.
Promotional Materials Design: For the wedding expo, I created a suite of promotional materials, including a table banner, backdrop, business cards, and a brochure. Each piece was designed to stand out while maintaining brand consistency, ensuring that Paolian Sweets & More made a memorable impression at the event.
